Ongoing Case FAQs
These FAQs provide answers to common client questions about your case, communication, car repairs, and how DK Law supports you every step.

1. What happens now that I’ve signed with the firm?
Once you’ve officially retained our firm, we’ll begin building your case immediately. Our onboarding team will reach out to gather additional information and guide you through the process. We’ll handle all the legal paperwork and communicate with the insurance companies on your behalf. You’ll receive updates via your preferred communication method, whether it be through phone call, text, or email. If you have any questions, we’re always just a call or text away.
2. Who will be my main point of contact?
Your case manager will be your main point of contact throughout your claim, guiding you every step of the way. They are experienced and knowledgeable about all aspects of your case and will stay in touch to ensure everything progresses smoothly. You can contact your case manager at any time with questions or updates about your case, treatment, or appointments. If you have questions or want to check in, you can reach us anytime by call, text, or email.
3. What should I do about my damaged car?
If your car was damaged in the accident, our Claim Specialists will step in to help. Many law firms don’t assist with property damage, but we do. DK Law will assist with car repairs, rental arrangements, and communication with the insurance company, so you can focus on your recovery.
4. Can I post about my accident on social media?
To protect your claim, it’s best to avoid posting on social media until your case is resolved. Insurance companies can use your social media posts to challenge your injury claims, and may argue that your activities contradict the facts of your case. Even harmless posts or photos can be taken out of context by insurance companies to minimize your claim. It’s best to keep everything private until your case is fully settled.
5. What if the insurance company contacts me directly?
If an insurance company calls you, it’s best not to share details about your injuries or the accident. Insurance adjusters are trained to ask questions and gather statements that could hurt your claim. If they call, let them know that your attorney will be in touch. To protect your best interests, we will handle communications with the insurance company on your behalf.
6. What kind of updates should I expect?
At DK Law, we’re committed to guiding you all the way throughout your case. You’ll receive regular updates from your case manager as your claim progresses. For example, we may notify you when the insurance company responds to a request. There may be natural pauses while we wait for records or responses, but we will keep you informed throughout the entire process. If you ever have questions, need clarification, or simply want to check in, you can reach us anytime by call, text, or email.
7. What can I do to help my case?
At DK Law, our team will guide you through every step of your recovery. We’re here to support you, answer your questions, and make sure you understand what to expect at each stage. The most important thing you can do to help your case is stay consistent with your medical treatment and keep us updated on any changes, such as new doctors, symptoms, or missed appointments. Be transparent with doctors about your symptoms, pain levels, and how the injuries affect your daily life. If you have any questions, you can reach us anytime by call or text.
