    Every 4 minutes.

On average, every 4 minutes someone picks up the phone and calls us for help. That kind of trust says everything.

    1. What should I do if I’ve been hit as a pedestrian?

Call 911 and seek medical attention right away, even if your injuries seem minor. If possible, take photos of the scene, collect contact and insurance information from the driver, and speak with witnesses. File a police report and avoid making statements to insurers until you’ve consulted an attorney.

    2. How is liability determined in a pedestrian accident case?

In most cases, the driver who hit the pedestrian is at fault. However, liability can also involve other parties, such as municipalities (for unsafe crosswalks or signage) or third-party drivers. A thorough investigation is essential to determine fault.

    3. Can I still recover compensation if I wasn’t in a crosswalk?

Yes. While not being in a crosswalk may affect the amount of compensation you can recover, it does not automatically bar you from filing a claim. California’s comparative fault system allows injured pedestrians to seek damages even if they were partially at fault.

    4. What damages can I recover as an injured pedestrian?

You may be eligible for compensation for medical expenses, lost wages, pain and suffering, emotional distress, and long-term care. If the injury is severe, you may also recover damages for permanent disability or reduced quality of life.

    5. What if the driver who hit me was uninsured or fled the scene?

If the driver is uninsured or involved in a hit-and-run, you may still have options through uninsured/underinsured motorist (UM/UIM) coverage or a crime victim compensation program. An attorney can help you navigate these complex claims.

    6. Do I need a lawyer for a pedestrian accident case?

Yes. Pedestrian accident cases often involve serious injuries and complicated liability issues. A lawyer can gather evidence, negotiate with insurers, and help you recover the full compensation you deserve—especially if fault is disputed.
